Nia Vardalos talks about what it was like to work with her real-life mother on the set of MY LIFE IN RUINS.

We just returned from seeing this fabulous movie......it ws marvellous. I will go again soon, just to get the bits I missed. Congradulations, it is one on the finest movies in a very long time! Keep up the ggod work, I don't think 4 or 5 Oscars would be reward enough.....evven the "Downunderoo's" were neally authentic. Best wishes for every success that it is due. Cheers;

Thank you so much for the joy I have felt at experiencing "My Life in Ruins". I went twice just for myself, then went again with my sister, again with a friend and again yesterday with a friend (and drove from San Diego to Temecula) to see it.

I would really love to send you a real letter to give you more detail on how this movie has affected me, but I don't know where to send it. If you could give me an address where to mail it, I'd be glad to give you more kudos!

Ruth, if you want to go to greece just by seeing this movie i suggest you make this a priority, i have been there several times and lived there for a year, it is absolutely amazing. if there is any way you can do it, you must. it is like entering another world and totally intoxicating. make sure you include the islands, especially Santorini....Good luck, i hope you make it, you will never regret it....

Greece was declared as having the cleanest beeches in the 27 country EU this year and the warm calm waters are a joy for young and old alike.The subway in Athens is modern,quiet,and one can see parts of Classical Athens infrastructure imbedded on the walls for people to admire behind glass.I did not know that even the sewer ceramic pipes in Ancient Athen had colorful beautiful decorations on them!Talk about ubiquitous artistic creativity!Walking in the beech in Faliro in Piraeus the pebbles are of brilliant white color,the same marble from Penteli that was used for their Statues by the Ancient Athenians.All the busstops,subway stops ,tram way stops are announced in Greek and English automatically and people are always helpful to give you directions.The islands indeed are ..jewels in rhe sea!In the North a modern superhighway built by Halliburton at a cost of 9 billion $ opened this year and follows the old Roman Via Egnatia that joined the Black see to the Ionian Sea 20 centuries ago!Dont miss the "new "Sex Museum "of Ancient Athens!They enjoyed their life then, as if they were living in the ..20th century!
Visit Greece ! See "My Life in Ruins!"Enjoy!

Can't wait to see My Life in Ruins tomorrow. Someday I hope to visit
