I just saw the movie. Though the acting was exceptional, the movie was poorly done. Stupid ending. Boring.

Was Marisa Tomei in Whote Men Can't Jump?!? I don't remember her being in that film. Rosie Perez co-starred in it as Woody Harelson's girlfriend but I don't recall Marisa, who I've had a small crush on since she was in the TV show Diferent Worlds.

As for the movie, I rented it this week and finally watched it last night. I thought it was a very good movie and felt very intimate to me. Loved both Marisa and Mickey in it and thought they both captured the essence of the lifestyle both characters lived perfectly.

The feel of the movie made me think of how I felt when I saw Rocky Balboa and Rambo. Stallone's latest additions to those series were the best and also had the intimate, realistic feel that I got with The Wrestler.

I've just fallen completely in love with Mickey Rourke through his character in this amazing movie. I need more of him...

Mickey was invited onto the "Hate Bush" Hollywood bandwagon. He turned it down, I respect him for that. I also think it effected him getting the Oscar he deserved. Everyone who's anyone in Hollywood is supposed to bash Bush, and hate him. Mickey has class. He's someone I'd enjoy meeting in real life. I wouldn't give a nickel for 99% of the artificial, vain, better than you Hollywood types! Mickey is real. I wish he never left acting, but I think it made him a better person to step back from it for a time. Keep making good movies man!

Well said! My female friends, and a large number of my male friends, agree with this view of today's films. The blame goes to Hollywood, and the actress's who cheapen themselves by taking off their clothes when it has nothing to do with the movie. Whatever happened to inuendo,or the viewer's abilty to use our imagination, instead of having it all put out there? Kudos to the actresses who refuse to play into this mentality!

The actresses who refuse to show. Don't they take it all off infront of their boy friends, husbands, who ever? Imagination? Why do I have to pay to imagine? I can imagine all I want for free. Just as it is not "cheap" to show your smartness, your brain power so why should it be cheap to show your body?

She Plays a Stripper?? She is only topless and by my count there's a hell of a lot more topless men for you to ogle after in this movie than there are women. This was an awesome movie with great acting and nudity only where it absolutely had to be to validate the part. You should get over your insecurities and stay away from R rated OSCAR nominated movies.

There is a big difference between topless women, and topless men, I'm sure you've noiced. And topless men are allowed on any beach, but topless women? Hardly.There is quite a difference. No insecurities here, trust me. My point is that movies these days seem to exploit women in increasing numbers, and alot of us women are super tired of it. We deserve equal time to see what's not normally seen on the beach.

to see more naked men in movies you need more female directors, I guess. or you can try porn. but you can't say this movie exploits women, unless you didn't see the movie.

Honestly not sure where you're missing the male nudity on R rated movies! Nevertheless, maybe you should look for PG-13 movies instead. There seem to be plenty of horror movie remakes with that designation. LOL

Uh, she plays a stripper. Depends on the plot. Not all R rated movies are about nudity. Maybe check out the reviews first? If anyone has the power in a topless bar its the woman. I think this is an issue with the viewers rather than the cinematic art form. Don't like them then stick with PG 13.

Men Appear topless , as do women in movies, most strip clubs differentiate between NUDE and topless... Your Chest is not a reproductive organ.. Theres a big difference..
