I looooove Paul Dano!!!
Kidding... and I´m not gay and don´t read much Proust but I did find the film superb. Every actor is doing a great job and the story... and the direction... congratulations averyone. Olive´s strip is one of the high peaks in the history of the silver screen. Even Nietzsche would agree.

lil miss sunshine is a greaet movie and shows the realtion ships of a difficult family.
This is a beautiful, funny and moving little film. The cast is sensational, the music is sensational (I love DeVotchka!!). I have to watch it again on DVD. Looking forward for your next film, Valerie and Jonathan!

Hey! from Japan, when I was in Paraguay I heard of this movie and wanted to see it ever since. I really enjoyed it. Its great to see that in spite everyone's tough personality there was respect and care for what they wanted, and love and support to get there. Think about it, the dad and his investment was followed by the grandpa; the gay brother given importance by Olive; Dwaine who wanted to be a pilot and everyone accepted his silence; and the Olive who had everyone giving her support. Its true they all looked like losers, but they pursued their goal to the end...they are winners! I loved the spirit in the movie!

This film was pure class, still laughing now weeks and weeks after, quality. Haha Alan Arkin so good "i hate the fucking chicken" and paul dano, " i hate everybody" So good should make more films to this standard.
It was the best film I have seen in a long while. It is hard to distinguish somebody in particular, everyone was so good, not false, not too handsome ("like from the movies") but really beautiful. This is the movie that make you a better person, more kind, empathetic and tolerant. I think directors are very intellegent people.

"Little Miss Sunshine" is a very interentig film that reflect some problems of family in the contemporary world like confrontation between generations, drugs, sexual conflicts and the influence of TV on children.
The focus of the story is a little girl called Olive who dreams of participating in a beauty contest in California. She is very original because she never changes her self image and her family supports her all the time.
Olive's family is compoused of: the mother, a woman that works out side the home and inside the home. She needs to run all the time because she has to take care of her family. The father, is a typical man of today; he is a motivotional speaker, and he thinks and talk about his problems every moment.Olive's brother is a teenager who hates his life and never speaks to anybody. He writes a few word in a notebook and do excercises compulsively.
The grandfather is at home and he likes to look at pornographic magazines about women and in the night he needs a little portion of drugs. The uncle is the most intelligent and compassionate in spite of his mental conflicts. He tried to commit suicide because of a gay love affair.
The family dicided tu support Olive to realize her dream. In the crossing from Albuquerque to Los Angeles by van, they can express different amotions about each other. Father's conflicts about work allow the the grandfather to show empaty and put his arm on his son. The silence and love self-steem of the brother hushes when he knows and perceives this situation but during these moments he needs to think about Olive. This situation allows the express her love for her son maybe as never before. In the important moments Olive's dreams was primary. In spite of not being, the most beautiful girl, olive receives and gives love to her family.
The problems and conflicts between the family today, can be reduced when they are care for each other.

Yeah Paul Dano has the best line in the film. "Do what you love and fuck the rest." He was awesome, that scene with him and Steve Carrell was superb.
What's really interesting about Wes's pictures are how he relates to the characters he shoots. I don’t know the man but the characters in his stories seem to be a lot like his personality. I love how he has everysexy lingerie slight detail mapped out so it shows on screen. Even the set atmosphere seems personalized in every way. I love it! sexy costumes His music usage is perfectly timed, and other things I could ramble on about. Sorry didn’t want to make this a festival of flattery, anywho, good stuff, I dig it.
Little Miss Sunshine should defintely win the OSCAR!!! way to go Abigail Breslin.....YOU deseve an oscar!!
