What hip hop needs far as a movie that started it off is a RUN DMC movie. I know! I know! They did 2 movies. Tougher Than Leather, Krush Groove. They were aaiiigghhtt, but they did not really dig deep down into DEE, JAY, RUN.

What you wrote is so important and people who appreciate hip hop needs to understand this point. It's not about one vs. the other...this is about honoring a hip hop legend in his own right. I love them both, but I can actually appreciate watching them both be honored w/o confusion, jealousy, envy, hate, etc.

To feel that a person needs to bring 2Pac into the picture honestly is being disrespectful to Biggie and his rich history. This hate needs to stop!

This movie was disappointing. Someone said "It smoothes out the roughest of edges, drains all the rawness..." I completely agree. It was lacking in a lot of areas, not least of all the facts. The script writing was corny, and Biggie was made out to be mostly just a big nice guy with a few flaws. As a loyal Biggie fan, I don't see him that way at all...did anybody on this project listen to his songs? He had a dark side, that was a big part of who he was and where he came from, and we didn't even get a glimpse of that. The whole movie came across as apologizing for its controversial subject matter. And what about Pac? He's grotesquely misportrayed as a paranoid, bloodthirsty aggressor in the East coast/West coast beef. Biggie was basically an innocent bystander according to this movie. The whole thing was kind of a joke...a candy-coated version of Biggie to please the masses. The whole point of a biographical film about an artist is to de-glamorize them. Oops, Fox, missed the mark buddy. Someone please remake this.

The only people who really put BIG on a pedastool come from NY...Outside NY its pretty obvious that Pac wins overwhelmingly. Pac til this day is the biggest selling Hip Hop artist of all time 75 mil sold and still climbing. As far as Pac deserving a Biopic! Hmmmm. I'm a fan of the NY (Brooklyn=BK)rappers, much love to the rest! I'm a Brooklyn product and also on the old skool side. I remember how things use to be in (Do or Die)BK around the time Biggie was a young man (Crazy). I'm proud of the fact that a movie about Biggie, a BK native son, will make it to the big screen. Anyone from BK knows that you will see apart of yourself in at least one part of the movie. We were all so much alike back then, you played B-Ball, sold drugs, rapped/DJ or worked to get the best gear! I hope the movie hits on the soul of Biggie=Brooklyn, family and friends. Of coures, all the other things like violence, sex and drugs will be in the movie, but I'm sure he loved his mother (Above all) and had his boyz back. If we still had battles instead of beefs, we could decide who is the best rapper of all time. Much love to Ms. Wallace for showing how most mothers care about there inner city black children. I DON'T THINK THE PRODUCERS DID PAC ANY JUSTICE GETTING ANTHONY MACKIE FOR HIS ROLE EITHER, I KNOW I KNOW ITS BIGGIES MOVIE BUT DAMN! Can all REAL HIP HOP HEADS........STOP IT!!! It's so stupid to ask that everytime an interview, tribute, movie, etc. is done to honor one of these great icons SOME of you say "now they need to do one for the other!!" IT DOES NOT have to go that way!! That's like saying everytime Jay-Z gets honored Nas deserves to be honored, or everytime they honor Michael Jackson they gotta honor Prince!
