This book was the best I have ever read! I feel it should be required reading to our children at a young age to help better understand that everyone's hearts are the same regardless of color, religion, occupation, or upbringing. The other important factor is having a faith in something bigger and better. I loved how August (Queen Latifah) portrayed the true human spirit. The wailing wall provided an important outlet for suffering and letting go. I am passing this book along to my daughter and sister. I was sad when it ended and will be reading the author's other books. I'm taking an entire box of kleenex to the movie.

After staying up all night reading it by oil lamp, I knew that I had found my Bible, the perfect book. Since then, I've wanted to own the book. Why is it when you see an Indian woman or girl in a store or in public period they look deformed? I mean I have never seen. other than in Bollywood any Indian woman or young girl that is not bucked teeth, brown teeth at that and looks like she's been hit with an ugly stick.
