i know it was filmed in canada, but im saying it was based in minnesota because they where talkin about driving an hour away to st. cloud and then is in minnesota an hour away from where i live.
Anonymous | January 23rd, 2008 19:14
and plus you cant get to st. cloud from canada by just driving an hour. and they also said a bunch of other places in minnesota too like when she was talkin about the person in the waterfountain in the mall. so i know it was filmed in canada but it is based in minnesota.

Adorable, Ellen Page is my all time favorite actress it's unreal, and although she may not have the "perfect" voice, the song was great!

I don't know what everyone else is on..this movie was clearly filmed in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada.. I work in a retail store at Metrotown mall in Burnaby and we lent clothes to the set.

Who ever said no movies are ever based in Minnesota was crazy!
Mighty Ducks
Fargo
Grumpy Old Men
I decided to not list a bunch, but thats a couple popular ones. Trust me, there is plenty.
Anonymous | February 8th, 2008 20:37
OH by the way, there was three Minnesota cities named in the movie I caught, Stillwater, Mankato, and St. Cloud, so it is definitely in Minnesota.

Great movie!
Right from the start to the end, it was brilliantly written. Also, the music was well crafted and used.
To anyone who hasn't seen it yet, rent it now. You'll love it!

I've never been more excited to see a movie. It takes FOREVER for movies to get to our theater, since we live in a teeny tiny hicktown in waaay northern Minnesota.. my house is about 2 miles from the Canadian border. I wish I was Canadian. I'm musical like one, at least...*shrug*
I see alot of myself in Ellen. And it brings me much joy.

However, Reitman’s latest film is mildly successful despite the preliminary dialogue crafted by the film’s recently f?™ted screenwriter. By the time Juno yells “Thundercats are go!” I seriously considered throwing (someone else’s) food at the screen and I was ticked off with myself for not bring rotten produce with me to the theatre, but I was also actually sincerely sexy lingerie interested in the story. As annoying as the characters might be when they’re spewing their needlessly hip dialogue, I was actually engaged enough to worry about their fate. Strangely, when the characters aren’t anxiously attempting to sexy costumes demonstrate their sophisticated sense of cool to one another, they’re actually quite sweet and charming in their honesty and vulnerability
