Richard Linklaer and cast members talk about the power that consumers have over corporations.
Take a Stand! We all know that it is up to each individual to vote with their decisions to eat foods that are healthy; and the fast food industry has the responsibility to the common good to provide consumers with choices.
So when is all this insanity of destroying good food with trans fats, sugars, and chemicals from the likes of IFF going to stop? There is no reason for such 'mutilation' of food. Maybe when their employees are so sick from eating fast food that their medical insurance costs skyrocket and their consumers are too fat to show up at the drive in, and then they will get the idea.
And we think the tobacco industry were the only thieves of our health. It has been too long and we are killing a generation and their children by turning us into fast food junkies. It is a sin - the lack of conscience - of such producers is beyond human reason.
There is no reason why a fast food chain cannot have 'real fast food!'. Good food can be fast, fun and healthy; and yes profitable. Even cartoon characters can be developed that do not look like Ronald McDonald, whose image looks as if he's been raised from the dead.
Any corporate executive, who has courage to alter the course of American health and consumerism, and interested in changing their role in society, give me a call.
Stand up and do what is right by your consumers, and even so for your own family and grandchildren. Pass on a legacy. Stop spinning and trying to justify what is wrong.
