Even the commercial is. why would i want watch a movie when the commercial starts with " everyone dies.......no body lives, not your children, not your parnets not even the stars......." They spoil the fact the everyone dies... so??? It's just that the reason to see the movie? If that's so... you'd better not to watch this movie, since the plot is much more than knowing that.
Actually, the fact that everyone will die is suggested clearly at the beginning of the movie. It's early known on purpose.

I loved this trailer and I think the movie it's interesting. I dunno much about science and astrophysics, so I prefer to shut my mouth before talking shit just because (as many people seems to do), but so far, the movie's been recognized for respecting science theories.

I came here from the "videos" link off the "Once" webpage to hopefully see some videos from Once -- which I already saw and thoroughly enjoyed.
And you're really going to tell me all the characters die before I get the chance to see your movie?
I didn't hit this link thinking anything about Sunshine -- certainly not worried about spoilers -- yet, you spoil the whole movie in big bold letters before I can see it.

The trailer outrightly said 4 die, then showed at least one more die as the ship is thrown into the sun. C'mon... I was surprised, but not terribly when I popped onto this site from watching the trailer. The music and design of the trailer/movie is apocalyptic, as in, everyone dies. It be like going into I Am Legend and being disappointed that Will Smith's kid and wife die. Kind of a no-brainer.
I personally do not like how they put all 8 deaths of the crew up before the movie was released, this was a TERRIBLE IDEA FOX, "I hope one of the Fox Guys is reading this because you really need to understand how bad you "Messed" up..
I don't mind watching these clips now sense I have seen the movie but for people who have not seen it you basicly just showed how the whole movie plays out, you don't get a full idea on whats happening but you can already tell they all die, thats not a good thing to do... but hey I love watching these scenes over and over again so I can't bi***...

The music for this film was especially well done, especially the timeless Timberlake/Samberg duet, "Dick in a Box."

This was a *good* sci-fi movie, which as with most good sci fi, is NOT appreciated by 98% of the population ... they want Hollywood crap. Movies like this will always do very poorly at the box office and there will always be few of them for that reason. At least 1 or 2 make it out every decade. Kubrick's 2001, etc.
Ok, now I get it...the film was released in the UK on April 6th, more than 3 months earlier than it's release in the U.S. So, I guess technically the movie is old...thus the spoilers?
I saw the movie, and the movie was very good, suspenseful, intense, great plot line, and good special effects. However, I don't understand why they would post that all the crew members die in the movie on the official web site. That's crazy. And correction, they weren't flying into the sun. That was not their mission. Their mission was to fly to a near distance to the sun, and release a "payload" that would create a star withing the sun, thus reigniting it. So, it is not a given that they all will die. Clearly, you can't judge the film in realistic terms, cause as far as I know, flying to the sun isn't very realist either. I'm disappointed that they've ruined the film for other people who have visited this site without first seeing the film.
sunshine is the best sci-fi movie that i have ever watched. it is very exciting and i just love kappa ^_^ or was that the true spelling of his name? ^^; anyways, it's more shocking than horror movies or any sci-fi movie that i have ever watched!!! i LOVE it
God, Fox Searchlight marketing needs to get their heads out of their collective a**es. DON'T TELL US THE MAJOR CHARS ARE ALL GOING TO DIE. Come ON!
I think Fox is simply trying to show us why it believes this thing will have zilch staying power at the box office. Is "Sunshine" depressing? Yes. Confusing (thanks to the hack-job editing and Danny Boyle's "artsy" jiggle-shots)? Yes. A celebration of human incompetence in the face of adversity? Mmm hmm. Chock-full of arbitrary and pointless character deaths? You bet. I wouldn't have backed this sucker, either. Fox is, quite rightly, trying to shovel it on to DVD and have done with it.
Why isn't this film in wide release ?!?!?!?!?!?! I agree that this is one of the best Sci-Fi films produced in the last 20 years. Intellegent, exciting, with brilliant visuals and great acting. Why ?! This movie should be a huge hit.

Well, I saw it.... its awesome. It has a great plot, great story, great cast, and great ending.
Too bad there's no moderator or anyone to review these postings. Some verge on the criminal, and VERY few are about the movie itself.
If you know anything about the film and think there's a chance any of the crew members survive (they are traveling into THE SUN) and that they are aboard a ship called the ICARUS, then you are a moron if you think there's a chance any of them will live.
I have seen the movie and you know very early on that no one will survive. Even if it isn't said out loud until 1/2 way through the film.
If knowing that fact makes you choose not to watch the movie then you wouldn't get it anyway.
Fox, are you mentally handicapped? Do you WANT your movie to fail? This is equivalent to M. Night Shyamalan advertising "The Sixth Sense" with the tag line, "Bruce Willis Is A Ghost - He Dies In The First Scene".

i am fresh new actor american parents from india, trying to break in to hollywood but its so difficult to get the right roles. you gave kal a big chance, how can other south asian actors like me get to work on your upcoming flim, do u ve a office or contact sexy lingerie info. please please let me know, working in one of your mopvie will be one of the best experiences of my life. Besides that, my favourite thing of the moive was Juno's humour: the sarcastic way of calling her baby the "thing" or calling herself sexy costumes" a planet" or " a convexe form" is really amazing. Finally , my favourite thing of the movie is the final scene. the song is so beautiful and really sums up all this sweet feeling we have from the middle of the movie.
I must stake claim that Sunshine is the best Science fiction film of the last 20 years. It's simply magnificent. The story borders on the metaphysical as it leads the viewer on a spellbinding journey into the mind. I must commend Danny Boyle on his bravery in tackling such a risk taking venture into space. With a budget of 45 million, please tell me who else could have made such a masterpiece. It's just a reflection of the talent and genius of this great director. Films like this just don't get made anymore, where you don't need a special effects extravaganza to reach for some element of quality. Don’t get me wrong, the film is spectacular in regards to special effects and space scenes, it just comes second to the gripping storyline. Most science fiction films now are based on all flash and no substance, where the special effects are over blown and over reaching in order to cover up the lack of depth and substance to the films story, script, and the director’s vision. Comparative speaking, I would rank this up there with Bladerunner, Alien, Solars, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Close Encounter of the Third Kind, and Star Wars, it's that good! This is required viewing for any serious film enthusiast. A+
