The movie just bowled me over with its sincerity, low key style and freshness. The songs are a natural part of the story; they ARE the story.

The best film I have seen in the naughties. An anspiring film for hope, love, music and for filmmaking. More of these please.

I love it! This is one of the best movies I've ever seen! I still listen to the songs all day and I saw the movie a week ago! I hope to get the CD if there is one and if there isn't I'll go on FOX Searchlight ever day! Rock on Glen and Marketa!

Thank you for this movie. It's been 72 hours since I left the theater and I can't get it out of my head. Glen, Marketa, John, anyone at FOX Searchlight...if you happen to be browsing these comments, please know that your little film is full of heart, power and quiet genius.

I've refused to see most blowout-budget blockbusters for about a year and a half now, and I've found that indies are so much more thought provoking and dense with meaning and symbolism. Once perfectly exemplifies my notion. Once doesn't need the obnoxious explosions employed by a blockbusters because it the storyline is compelling enough. If only modern cinema could thrive on meaning and emotion as opposed to special effects and "it" boys and girls.

Audiences seem to agree with John and Glen about how liberating it is to watch a movie such as ONCE -- so simple, minus all the frills -- in a blockbuster age.
