wow Anthony M. from riverdale... i did the same exact thing! i found it on rottentomatoes highest ratings in 2007.. because i cant think of any other movies to put on my netflix... when i read your comment, i was like huh what!? anyway... brilliant movie though... im a musician i had to learn the songs... and you can imagine how much i loved the movie...
Nice interpretation of the song with the tempo adjustments. And Glen has the coolest guitar in the world.
The CD is now in the top 10 for the S.F.Bay Area.Congrats once again!

I saw this movie for the first time 3 days ago. I was utterly blown away. I couldn't get the songs out of my head and had to immediately run out and get the soundtrack. Now I am listening to the music nonstop and just HAVE to see the movie again. The movie is just so unpretentious. So many movies try to spin truth out of only the fantastical bits of life, but this movie just lays it out there in a very real form. So touching. So honest. Love love love it!

A long time ago I got to sit and watch/hear someone play piano from their gut and when I saw the scene in the recording studio, well, it took me right back to that. It's a very powerful thing - and this is a very powerful little movie. So glad I got to experience it....I don't like most movies & don't therefore take much time for them. But I love most things Irish & so gave it a chance. Lucky me.
I was trolling thru RottenTomatoes.com to fill my Netflix queue and saw that 'Once' is one of the highest rated movies of last year.
I got to see it last week and I’m pissed at myself for taking this long to watch it.
I immediately bought the soundtrack as well as their other works.
It’s a sweet movie/musical with great tunes….really great tunes.

From the opening scene of the movie until the closing credits, I was mesmerized by this beautiful story. I forced my wife and daughter to see it the next day. They enjoyed it as well, but not as much as me (although I got to see it again!). The songs are so full of heart. The montage with Lies, Lies, Lies was so moving. It was the part I had to see over and over again.
Here it is 2 weeks after I saw the movie and I am still thinking about it.

My husband and I saw this movie for the first time a couple of nights ago. We immediately went on to the website. I then went and not only bought the soundtrack, but purchased two albums from Glen's band, 'The Frames'.
Very powerful music and words. The whole experience blew me away.

My wife and I just saw this film tonight. WOW!! What a fantastic production. The music, the lyrics, the chemistry blew us away. As we were watching the film we started to think that this was a documentary but we knew it wasn't. I will recommend this film to my friends and let them know that this is a film they must watch and will certainly enjoy.
I only wish I had seen all of these comments before today and I'm saddened that I missed Glen's and Marketa's tour though Austin, TX. If you all ever want to tour again please consider the DFW area.

Haven't seen the film yet, but saw it previewed and an interview with the leads this morning on BBC news - I immediately went onto iTunes to buy the album - purely from the strength of a 30 second clip. It truly is beautiful.

Well done. This movie is as real as it gets. I'd never heard of it before, but it was playing in town, so we took a chance. Now I've seen it twice and told everyone I know about it. I've encouraged friends to buy the cd intead of downloading it for free. I felt you both deserved to profit from this gem of a story and the passion you poured into the music. I sincerely hope you are experiencing success from this moving contribution.

me and my mom watched this movie last night and now, this is my FAVORITE and i meen FAVORITE love story, and duet songs.
Amazing, all i can say is wow! I saw it for the 3rd time last night and was blown away "once" again. The soundtrack is absoultely mind blowing and I get the chills everytime I hear it (esp. during the movie). I can't even explain the feeling this movie gives me! EVERYONE should see it, at least 2x! (I recommend the archlight if you are in LA) Trust me, it is so worth it! It is so real and so honest!

Never before have I been so drawn into a movie. There were moments when I forgot I was sitting in a theater and I felt like I was in the same room with the charactrs on the screen - they were that real. I felt I could just reach out and touch them. They certainly touched me. Thank you for making something so real and heart felt.

No one stood up to leave until the full credits ran out - we all wanted more. Most of us cried even though this is not really a "tear jerker" - it's your music and your message that touched us.
I want you to know how much I appreciate your work and effort - thank you for putting together a musical movie like this with your original style and feel.
I am telling all my friends about this movie and I hope all the theaters in the US will someday run it.
After having a rough few days,I saw this film last night. It was so touching and real. I am most definately seeing this film again and again.

Wow...this movie was even better the second time I saw it, and I'm sure it will be even better the third time. The music is great - seeing them live in a few weeks, which I'm really looking forward to; it's so romantic and funny and touching and any other cliche you can think of, but most of all it's honest.

The movie is visually beautiful beyond words, but the science is too silly or just plain wrong (so no science-fiction medal from me: if you want to play hard scifi you have to earn it) and the characters and sexy lingerie their technology behave stupidly to justify the dangers they encounter.I would rank this up there with Bladerunner, Alien, Solars,sexy costumes 2001:A Space Odyssey, Close Encounter of the Third Kind, and Star Wars, it's that good! This is required viewing for any serious film enthusiast. A+

Simply put I love this movie, I love the music! The actors were great the movie was shot in a way that you felt everything was so real almost like a documentary, so simple yet so powerful. I will buy this when it hits DVD and have already ordered the CD as it has sold out here in St. Louis. Just a wonderful movie a must see.

I can't get enough of this movie and this music. I went to see ONCE 2 weeks ago and have gone back twice since. I bought the soundtrack last week and nothing on the radio is remotely as good so I keep playing it over and over. What an awesome experience this ONCE.

It was the last day of the Sydney Film Festival,
Sunday the 24th of June.. this day was so crazy
and a lot of things happend, I didn't expect.
One of these things was this film. At first I only
wanted to go to the cinema, but then I decided to
join this film. Without any expectations I sat
there and was faszinated from the first second...
I listened to the first song and could not believe
what I heard and saw - I couldn't move and I only
wanted to have this song to listen to it day by day.
This is the most emotional film I've ever seen..
the story, the music and all the things between.
This film inspirate me as well to make music, to
write down my feelings and to give things a chance
to grow.
I cried and it felt so good... thank you for this
wonderful film and wonderful night.

I saw this film yesterday and it blew me away. I loved the music, the story, the whole thing touched my heart. After seeing the film. I stepped out into the California sunshine, called one of my best friends in Boston and felt so alive.BRAVO!!!! My niece works for 20th Century Fox, so I can't wait to get my hands on the dvd and soundtrack. You renewed my faith in simple stories told beautifully. I'm a woman of "a certain age" and probably not in the target demographic, but I loved this film. Reminded me of my youth in London in the 60's when I ran a coffee house. Immediately ordered the soundtrack and will purchase the dvd when it's released. Thank you for making this film.

wow...the music...the story...the actors...it all just keeps playing over and over in my head...so sweet...so touching...so very real...
I got the soundtrack about a year ago and I totally fell in love with it :-) So when I found out there is a movie with Glen and Marketa I didn't hesitate a second and I am going to see it this weekend.I am from the Czech Republic.
The chemistry between the two leads in the film (both musically and personally) is incredible and portrays that wonderful period at the start of a relationship when two people begin the process of getting to know one another. Unlike most films, it feels very real and doesnt shy away from the kind of "small moments" that other film makers wouldnt have the courage to linger on. An absolute gem of a film.
