ONCE is one of those rare movies AND music that you can't get enough of and one that you just have to share with everyone you know. It's so universal as it is about finding love and friendship and bringing out the best in a person. I just feel bad that I saw it a little too late and so learned about these talented duo (actually trio, including John Carney) a little too late. Should've known they were at The Wiltern just late last year! That's only a few blocks down my place! Is there any chance you'd come back to L.A. please?

First saw the film Once at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2006 and It Blew me Away
-Afterwards I had the Pleasure to Speak to Glen and Marketa and to Tell Them How Moved I was by their Duet in the Music shop -scince than it has been and continues to be a Joy to Hear about how so many Other People Like and Enjoy this Beautiful Film -Barry from Galway Ireland

I am totally in love with your songs. You guys are great!!!! I hope you come soon to Phoenix, Arizona, I can't stop listening and singing all the songs.
You have a wonderful future. Keep up the excellent work. Write more songs, it was about time we got real singers and musicians.

Every now and then something brilliant and new comes our way.

It gives us pause and reflection.

The beauty of a story told "so seemingly effortlessly".

Im sure the movie will have the same as I have so enjoyed the music.

Dont forget Montana!

Thanks

Trying to pull myself away is the name of the music at the end of the clip and it's on the soundtrack album and you heard some of the song in the movie. But I really don't want to pull myself away from the warm feelings this movie and soundtrack give me. Well done lads. You've made the most wonderfully addictive movie ever. I've seen it seven times now and I resent the hours it's not playing. It's just left our theater and if it weren't for this website, I think I'd go crazy. Maybe I have, but it feels oh so good. I'd love to see more of Marketa on the clips and learn more about her. Is she going to make a solo album? I'm looking forward to seeing you in the El Rey L.A.
THANKS to all of you for creating this magic!!!!!!!!!

Once is not enough...

we saw it last night in San Francisco!

Jossette and I saw the preview online and there was no question...we had to see it.

A delicious treat indeed! A fantastic job by director John Carney with performances by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova that you can't help but falling in love with.

The movie parallels the gripping power that the music has in conveying the 'force' that is- LOVE.

"Once" is not enough...like great music...you want to watch/hear it over and over and over and over agian.

what is the music playing at the end of this clip?

i saw the movie last saturday and had no idea about The Frames or The Swell Season (now they're all i listen to). The movie is warm and an amazing find.

The film is brilliant. The overwhelmingly positive reviews, coming from every quarter, will surely help propel "ONCE" into wider distribution and - no kidding - consideration for big-time awards. Marketa is brilliant and lovely. Glen, as always, is extraordinary. They tell the story and reveal the characters' complexities in a simple, natural, heartfelt way. Forget the pirates this summer, go catch the brokenhearted hoover fixer sucker guy and the mysterious girl!

this is real cool -i want to hang out too!

What the hell happened to the biscuits? Will this question be answered in the movie? Because if it is, I'm definately going to go see it.

NO!! I can't see it on the Hoyts list for Australia. :( Hopefully it will still come here.

Looks and sounds fantastic, hopefully it will be shown in Australia! I'll just go and check :)

btw check out www.mandyleigh.com ... maybe make a movie about her fight with depression and salvation through music :)
