I have enjoyed so many of Forest whitaker's performances--in this role he is A-MA-ZING!!! So talented--such a range of emotions--at times subtle, at times intense. Riveting my attention throughout the movie.
His Oscar? In my view Forest Whitaker is totally deserving of that prize, won not by Hollywood politics but truly earned for his acting skills.
Star on Hollywood Boulevard? Icing on the cake--a lasting tribute to a gifted and charming man.
Mr. Whitaker--thank you for being you!

I think Forest's soft-spokenness is part of what makes his success following THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND all the more exciting to behold. (Let alone after playing a a brutal tyrant.)

I must add that I loved Angela Bassett's spirited tribute to him!
