This is movie is unreal.

I was living and working abroad in slightly depressed country and missed it in theaters. I just got home a week ago, and have rented this on pay per view. This is the best movie I have seen in a very long time. It inspired me to write this comment. The acting was fabulous. The fx were top notch. The music awesome. The story unique.

A fantastic job was done here.

Sunshine is my new "favorite". Thank you to all involved in its creation.

Hope, Sadness, Insanity, Fear, Faith...acceptance. When I was little I imagined death was like floating alone in space. I think this movie was able to reach inside and yank at your humanness. It has stuck with me for days. I've watched it twice and could watch it a hundred more times. How does Danny Boyle do that when I am usually satisfied with one viewing of a movie I can watch his movies over and over. Thanks Danny...this was suprisingly moving for a space sci-fi film. The cast was perfect as was the soundtrack. And thanks for creating roles that could be played by men or women.

I think it's ridiculous that this movie made me cry. I came to so many realizations about myself that at the end of the movie, I didn't move until the credits were done. I loved Sunshine because it made me feel and think things that were new. I now know what kind of a person I would be if I were put into a "survival" situation, and that really made me think. And, no I do not think that movies like this could be considered "brainwashing", especially when the research has been done and the actors have been put in similar situations; if anything, this film to me would be inspiring, eye-opening and intelligent, all without the pompousness. So, congratulations to the cast and crew because Sunshine is now one of my favorite movies to be shown to as many smart people as I can find. -Michelle

For one, you have no clue what your talking about when it comes to any type of bomb or the effects it will have on our star, especially considering not even physicists can know for sure. That being said, i can assure you and everyone else, you are no physicist because no respectable physicist would subject themselves to that brainwashed garbage.

Also, don't try to turn around the outcome of a good movie by disgracing it with your feeble concepts of the universe. It's not your fault though, you've been brainwashed as your parents before you have. The difference between me and you though is that i am intelligent enough to break the bonds of my brainwashing and transcend into a realistic and scientific view. You, however, cannot do so; no matter how intelligent you believe yourself to be, i know by the simple fact of belief that as of now i am better than you, and all of your cultist companions.

It would take millions of fissionable nuclear bombs to rejuvenate a dying star. The earth does not have near enough uranium or plutonium to affect the sun in anyway like that (not sure why I am even arguing science fiction). I suppose God really does get the last word ? And Cillian Murphy lost what was left of his faith during the production of this movie ? (Open one door, and close the other, OR keep both doors of faith and reason open ? )

Too bad that the evil character in the movie was portrayed as a religious person (unfortunately a religious fundamentalist at that). You gotta love that stereotyping.

This is the best science fiction movie i´ve ever seen , is just incredible the way everything fix and surprise you , I recommend it , and Cillian is amazing ..!!!
bye bye (watch it !)

Hi ! I loved this word " We are just the stardust"
and it is a real truth for me :)

I can't believe that some people spoiled the ending of the film for others. Even if you don't like the film, don't ruin it for others. That is so disrespectful.

Personally, I loved the movie. It was suspensful and visually stunning.
Also, FYI. Since you point out that it is a movie about them flying into the sun, then obviously it is a fantastical film and there could be the possibility that crew members could survive. The film is not labeled as being non-fiction ( so obvious to someone like you) so stop being so pretentious.

If you know anything about the film and think there's a chance any of the crew members survive (they are traveling into THE SUN) and that they are aboard a ship called the ICARUS, then you are a moron if you think there's a chance any of them will live.

I have seen the movie and you know very early on that no one will survive. Even if it isn't said out loud until 1/2 way through the film.

If knowing that fact makes you choose not to watch the movie then you wouldn't get it anyway.

Am I the only one who is annoyed and disgusted by all of the spoilers that appear on the home page for this film? Whose brilliant idea was it to give away the film in that way? Loved the movie despite the fact that I already was told what happens, but it will keep many from going to buy a ticket (why, when you already know the ending?) Ridiculous decision.

This looks like a very visually powerful movie, I'm fascinated by what many of the film crew/cast have to say about the film--however I must interject, the way some of these 'videos' (comments from the cast/crew) have been created is quite annoying. They've tried to make it look like a transmission from space, but this is a promotional video, not an actual video from space, so we should have every right to be able to listen to the person's comment or watch their expressions without some sound or 'glitch' graphic interrupting the commentator. Great cast. Very excited to see Hiroyuki Sanada, who is an excellent actor in Japan, and is definitely proving his skills in Hollywood as well.

I really wouldn't embed a video with "8bit" music playing. But Cillian Murphy is indeed a sexy actor and seems perfect for a Physicist role. Can't wait for the movie, though this whole site is a let-down with the scenes from the characters' deaths. I still can't wait, though, to see what makes this movie considered to be (in any way) Spiritual.

I really hope this film delivers. I'm perhaps one of the biggest true sci-fi fans out here at the moment. We haven't had a truly great science fiction film since Blade Runner and possibly A.I.

Science fiction isn't about space ships and monsters, it's about philosophy, theology and humanity in the context of the future and our place in it. Good science fiction asks tough questions, moral questions, it debates itself and other opinions while having fun a long the way. I hope this film ignites a renewal among filmmakers and film studios to explore true science fiction once again.

I never write comments about movies on the net but I needed to let the world know how unbelievable Sunshine is. I guess I'm still a bit ... in shock maybe, but... in my humble opinion, this is by far one of the best movies of the decade (if not the best).

Congratulations to everyone who made Sunshine happen.

This sounds like an intellectual movie that most people do not want to believe. People do not want to hear the truth, two things are facts, one the sun is going to die, and global warming is caused by our own environment, like the magma that flows and ebbs within our own planet. I want to see this movie. Not only is Cillian a sexy actor, old enough to be his granma, so forget about it but, he picks parts that are unusal. Kudos, accolades, et.:):)
