This movie (Daywatch) makes russians look idiotic, if this is the best that could come out of russia thank god I got out of there before being infected by the absolute lameness of ruski culture...but no, seriously, Nightwatch was amazing b/c its the 1st movie of its kind coming out of the 'red state', artistic freedom was reglated by the communist gov so its something that ls emebeded in its culture subsequently limiting creativity....Nightwatch gave me something to b proud of, then Daywatch came along & negated the whole experience...DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY ON SEEING THIS IN THEATHERS!!!!! If you really must see it & u cant find it online go to any russian store/deli & buy s copy...then immediatley return it
I've been waiting so long for this! I hope that it'll get the release and ad support it deserves. ; )
For anyone feeling a little overwhelmed, I recommend reading Night Watch to get a clearer idea of the story. (besides, it's a really good summer read!) To avoid spoilers: don't read Night Watch, this movie continues from that book. June 1st, eh? I'll be there.

Did that guy say it's not something you would have expected from outside of the States? Wellcome to Europe then. Oh, and yes ... vampires, warewolfs and magic are real here.
And the sequel appears to show that right, just as the first movie did.
Hats off to the Director - he is a genius and the special fx crew really seem to have tuned themselves up for this one - cannot wait till its UK release.

Saw the first and loved it! I have been waiting for an eternity for this one! Can't wait. Will be the first in line if and when it comes to DC!

I've seen the Night Watch couldn't really coprehend it's all twisted and stuff took me like multiple times two watch it.(I'm Russian :) I saw the 1st one in Russia and I can tell you people were pissed and happy. LOL 2nd is a little bit better and little bit with more special effects to it. As far as things like car sliding and horses going through walls its only good parts in a movie. Basically to put it in simple words the begining is good the middle is boring the end equals the beginging over all.
Correction- I meant "Night Watch novel" but once you see it, you'll know what I meant.
It's a movie that should appeal to those who like the Day Watch novel but almost tells a different story at the same time. It's a good way to wrap up the events which happened in the first movie.
oh, just to add a bit. Day Watch does continue from where Night Watch left off, but is not the same as the book Day Watch. The movie Day Watch is still from the book Night Watch.
liberties are taken with the movie, but that is perfect, for Day Watch employs dark v light, time displacement, perceptive field views and a much deeper look into the gloom.
the chalk you see in the start of the trailer is a key to the movie. a clever key at that. truly the best movies out of russia to date. I do know russian so I could easily see and understand this in the original score. this will not disappoint. i'd pay 25 bucks to see it on a big screen.
i've seen it. it really is a film worth seeing. i bought a copy out of russia and it was completely worth it. now i want to see it in my native english at a theater near me.
I agree with most of the comments and disagree too. First, I do think women and men shouldn't blame the person their mate is sleeping with for the cheating.Men and women alike are hoes and will sleep with anyone who will give it up quick.It all seems that some sexy lingerie men cheat because his wife didn't do such and such,that complete BS to me because I feel like the men that are cheating are not delivering like they use to or insecure about themselves.Dont even get me started on the women but I will give the women the benefit of the doubt some dont know the men status and some of the married men are such hounds they wont leave the ladies alone still no excuse.Also, the potential sexy costumes cheater might not know that the person their about to sleep with are in a fairy tale marriage, if thats the case last so long. They said we never forgot we were a couple. We were a couple before you kids came a long and never lost sight of that fact. We set aside time for eachother no matter how short the time every day. They kept their love alive by working at it and never took eachother for granted. It can be done.
