BIG fan of Hiroyuki Sanada! I've seen him in films, dramas and tv shows in Japan, and he is definitely a seasoned actor. I'm quite surprised to hear him speak English--the fact that an actor from a very homogeneous country took the time to learn another language to venture out into a foregin market is always impressive. In addition, despite speaking in a foreign language, he still manages to convey his insightful thoughts so accurately. His choise of words and the thoughts about this movie being a 'human drama' is absolutely beautiful. People listening to him can tell he is not just selling this movie, he is fascinated by the messages in the story. More kudos to the man!

Hiroyuki exudes such calm as an actor -- a perfect choice for the role of Captain on a perilous mission through space.

I really hope that this is the movie that will help?Hiroyuki Sanada break into the US market. He is a wonderful actor and has won many awards in Japan, so I hope that Western audiences will have a chance to see him in the best way possible. I went to see Last Samurai because I heard he was in it, but he had about 1.5 lines in that. So I really can not wait to see this movie. And so far it looks great.
