I have to agree with your review. The Wrestler sucked - period. I have heard family and friends go on about the greatness of this movie. Actually the opposite is true...not great - just a movie about a washed up Wrestler. This movie doesn't have the same 'punch' as Rocky (the first movie) because you just don't care about the characters. Nothing in this movie makes you care about Randy or whether he foolishly decides to wrestle after his heart attack or not. At the end of the movie...his jumping off the ropes to certain death, could have been him jumping out of an airplane without a chute...I just didn't care. I wouldn't tell anyone not to watch this movie because you have to see this to believe it! This movie is a perfect example of how low the industry has to go to find an Oscar contender!
