Slumdog Millionaire is an onion which reveals layer after layer of exquisite, excruciating beauty each time you peel it (I watched it twice , and still find a yearning within me to see it again, and again!). It is a sumptuous feast for the eyes – it transcends the slums and reveals what lies at its core; its humanity.
This film is a journey, one which you have to be a part of, if not you feel as though you have not quite lived – A. R. Rahman’s brilliant score grabs hold of you and never lets go(O' Saya still haunts me to this day). Danny Boyle is a master, who directs with such passion, confidence ,and heart, he ultimately leaves you speechless. Slumdog Millionaire can be described as many things, at the top of that list it has to be said that it is quite simply a masterpiece.
