I watched the BBC news last night and they showed where the youngest child lived who played Jamal. IT was still the worst slum no toilet feces and urinating outside in a lot, all ramshackle huts of continuous pieces of tin.
The people of America who made this movie have a MORAL obligation to go to that slum and remove that family go buy them a decent house and get them on their feet; after ALL that boy did for them. I was shocked to see that is still the way the child actor lives today. They said the money from the movie is gone. HIs father has TB.
Americans are greedy and it shows all the time!
