Is this movie 100% scientifically accurate? No. Nor is it 100% accurate on any other arbitrary criteria. It is a fictional story designed to use aspects of our reality in order to illuminate a point. All stories do this to one extent or another. Historical dramas will fudge historical facts just as much as science fiction stories do. Most of Shakespeare's plays play fast and loose with history when necessary to tell their story. Shall we avoid 'MacBeth' and 'Julius Caesar' as well?
