Is "everyone dies" yet another of "Sunshine"'s half-assed bids for "originality"? "Oh, looky," chirps Alex Garland, "I avoided another one of those cliches everyone hates so much! People are sick as hell of anyone surviving in a film!" Even if it means that, dramatically, we as an audience are left wondering from whose point of view we're witnessing this sad little mess and that, from a box office standpoint, most moviegoers have zero interest in seeing a pointless all-out space-slaughter more than once.
