Romance can be risky, perplexing and filled with the perils of miscommunication - and that's if you aren't ADAM, for whom life itself is this way. In this heartfelt romantic comedy, Hugh Dancy (THE JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB, CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC) stars as Adam, a handsome but intriguing young man who has all his life led a sheltered existence - until he meets his new neighbor, Beth (Rose Byrne, "Damages," 28 WEEKS LATER, KNOWING), a beautiful, cosmopolitan young woman who pulls him into the outside world, with funny, touching and entirely unexpected results. Their implausible and enigmatic relationship reveals just how far two people from different realities can stretch in search of an extraordinary connection.

It seems to me nobody is getting to see the screenings. There are so many people complaining, and no one to answer the questions. I wonder if this is a FAKE SITE, just to get people's e-mail addresses :-|

I RSVP'd for a Boston screening but never received any confirmation. The screening wasn't full when I RSVP'd about two weeks ago, but it is now. What should I do?

Anonymous | July 27th, 2009 23:49

San Francisco.
How can it not be screening in San Francisco??

Anonymous | July 31st, 2009 08:28

I'm also having trouble - want to attend the Chicago one on the 3rd. The site only lets me check that it's happening, not get tickets. If you find anything out about why this site is not working properly, please share!

Thanks

Too many people are not getting their confirmation email (myself included.) Why have a screening if nobody can attend? How many people have received their emails on time? I registered almost a week ago and have nothing.

Opportunity lost by Fox Searchlight
I am the father of a child with Asperger's and I have been a great advocate for this film based just on the trailer.

I was able to get one ticket for the Minneapolis showing on 7/30. After showing the Adam trailer to my son, he also wanted to go to the showing.

However, the webpage to get free preview tickets only lists showings for cities that have had showing previously in July. There is also no contact information on the RSVP e-mail to see if I can get another ticket for my son.

I live at the far side of the Twin Cities from the theater and will not be attending because it isn't worth the gas to drive to the theater if my son would be turned away.

Poor customer service is going to cause you to loose more strong advocates for the film. I assume this is not what the studio intended when they decided to set up the free previews.

I was very much looking forward to the free screening of Adam which was supposed to show tonight in Columbus at the Landmark Gateway. When the group of us, all ten of whom were eager to see the film, more than half of whom never got a RSVP e-mail, arrived at the theatre, we were told it was cancelled, not by the theatre, but by the distribution. The film, well-pumped on NPR and local radio, is not only about, but has become a film *for* people who do not do well with changes in planned routine, and who have problems adjusting to social situations and sudden changes in plan. I cannot stress how much of a bad idea it is to first not have the RSVP system operate properly, then cancel last-minute, only allowing potential viewers to discover this at the ticket counter of the theatre.

Louisville, KY screening, please.

Thanks for (500) Days of Summer in Louisville.

Anonymous | August 6th, 2009 10:34

Now the RSVP link isn't working at all!

Anonymous | September 25th, 2009 14:15

Re: Cancellation w/out Notification is unacceptable. Since you have our info for the confirmation, please send notice that the screening is cancelled. I didn't even receive a post cancellation apology. Perhaps Fox would like to make nice by offering us passes to see another feature? Thanks from Louisville, KY.

Anonymous | August 5th, 2009 22:45
