Thomas on March 12th, 2009
Meet MISS MARCH's Craig Robinson & Raquel Alessi
Meet two of the cast members of MISS MARCH, opening in theatres March 13th. One plays a rapper named Horsedick Dot MPEG; the other plays Miss March herself. See who plays which role below. :)
Meet Craig (a.k.a. Horsedick Dot MPEG)
Chicago's Craig Robinson of "The Office" Says Comedy Chose Him
Q: "Is that you singing the songs in 'Miss March?'"
A: "Yes, that's me. I recorded those. I always play music with comedy. Now I have a band, some of the greatest musicians on or off the planet. At this point,
they are called The Nasty Delicious. It really enhances my show to the point that I got people singing along. It's the Craig Robinson Comedy Dance Party. That's when I have my most fun now, when I'm onstage with the band. We play anything, a lot of covers: "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)," by the Eurythmics, [Michael Jackson's] "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough." ... We'll do Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit."
Interview: MISS MARCH Star Craig Robinson
Q: "How did this role come to you? Did you have to audition?"
A: "I auditioned for it. It was the first audition I had after the movie Knocked Up came out. I felt like I should really do something strong to follow up. And that's what happened."
Q: "How do you go about playing a character named Horsedick.mpg and not laugh the whole time?"
A: "Well, we did laugh. You know, you get past it, try to get past it, and just keep on doing the job. I think that Trevor came up with that name and it was one of his files on his computer. He just kept it for the movie."
Meet Raquel (a.k.a Miss March)
MISS MARCH Hottie Raquel Alessi Warns Men: Don't Grab Her Boobs!
"Oh my gosh," blushed the star when we spoke to her Monday, just a few days before "Miss March" hits theaters this weekend. "I think that, maybe, there might be a better way to get a girl’s attention besides grabbing her boobs."
"I still drive my old O.J. Bronco that I got when I was 16," she laughed, shooting down their argument that women are only interested in a man with a fat wallet. "I'm definitely not the looking-for-money girl; I'm just looking for a nice guy."
One of the best ways to win over a hottie, she said, is to stop trying to be so cool about everything. "I’ve heard girls say that the worse a date goes, and the more a guy tries to make things better in a sweet way, they like them more," she explained. "Because guys want to control the date and make sure everything goes well. But you can really tell how genuinely nice and sweet a guy is when he's off his game. Then, he's just dealing with things on the fly."

Q: "Having experienced both, which do you prefer: television or film?"
A: "Film. With TV it's such a set schedule. I like the creative process of films. There's more time to do everything. And the movies I've done I've had to go away for, so it’s a bit like being at camp."
Q: "A second childhood, eh?"
A: "That’s exactly how I see it. You make new friends whether you like it or not, because you're all in it together. When you're living in L.A., you barely get to know anyone. So it’s a chance to make those friends."
