i really like the trailer, cause it was shown here in the Philippines via satellite.
i got curious about the movie "slumdog millionare" because it won a lot of awards.
i looked for the trailer in youtube and it made my hair stand on its ends.
so i was planning to go to our malls here to find a copy of the movie.
by the way, i like jamal... he's so cute....
I realy respect Hooywood for choosing this movie. This movie is realy great it gives hope to most people who experience the same situation. When i watched it brought tears to my eyes a few time, Knowing that if you have faith and do the right thing in life your dreams can be accomplished. It a great shift from all the voilence that normally get rated in the Academy Awards this is the best.
I am so disappointed knowing that it isn't enough that are jobs are being lost to India and now Bollywood is taking over Hollywood. There is no way that this movie should have ever been considered. Is nothing soley American anymore? The worst Oscar win EVER!
i am sorry to tell you but nothing in USA is purely american. you have no real history, no real values. you are exclusively built on others who came and created your world. because of others you are now powerfull. i am not Indian, but i feel great joy to see that other values besides american commercial movies are valued. you should thank that your country is mabye starded to think and see something else besides hamburgers, scary movie, bug gulp and superman.
There is no need to be racist. Bollywood is not taking over Hollywood. There is no such thing as a soley American movie anyhow. People from all over the world work in Hollywood. Some actors and actresses that star in "American" movies aren't Americans. Think about what you are saying. Even the Governer of California is from Austria! Get clue dude. Open you're mind and think outside of the box. It's people like you who keep bigotry alive, and makes tolerance harder to achieve world wide.
I wasn't expecting much from the film as I didn't think the book compared well to other recent and more substantial pieces on India such as 'White Tiger' or 'A Fine Balance'. nice movie to remind us to cherish today's life in big city. Like 'Shantaram','Q & A' the novel on which the film sexy costumes is based presents few insights about India but is mainly a good yarn.
but i feel great joy to see that other values besides american commercial movies are valued. you should thank that your country is mabye starded to think and see something else sexy lingerie besides hamburgers, scary movie, bug gulp and superman.

I am so glad to see one of the best films I have ever seen take home a top prize like this one. This movie is incredible and deserves to win best picture at the oscars in my opinion !
