[Biggie's mother Voletta] Wallace saw a side of her son she never knew in the film she produced. 'I gained strength from the film,' she says. 'I learned acceptance after seeing parts of the film and being disappointed and shocked.'"
NOTORIOUS is an excellent film. I agree there is an OBAMA element, along with Richard Pryor's admonition about the n-word, and B.I.G. himself, telling his daughter, when she grows up, "don't ever let any man call you a b---h!" None too preachy, but still an excellent sermon.
NOTORIOUS is an excellent documentary for those among us who despise thug-porn rap, but need to understand it. So much talent is wasted without purpose, except to make money. NOTORIOUS has an OBAMA element for which the filmmakers can be very proud.
WHEN YOU MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT PEOPLE WHO REALLY FROM THE HOOD. DO IT RIGHT. BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T. YOU WILL MESS UP SOMETHING REAL GOOD. SO THINK HARD AND LONG WHAT YOU ABOUT TO DO. SO DON'T FOREGET ABOUT THEY GOOD AND BAD SIDE TO WHO THEY WAS. P.S. IAM JUST SAYING THAT MY MOMS KNOWS THAT HER SON IS A GOOD GUY. 'BUT' THE STREETS KNOW ME AS A COLD HARD KILLER THAT DON'T TAKE NO BULL SH*T.
None of these people look like the characters they are suppose to portray. the directors could of did a better job of finding look alikes at least.
None of them are in costume/character. Does Foxx look like Ray Charles everyday? Does Will look like Ali?
you are so right....i'm so sick of people trashing good things and attempting to make a point where there is NONE! the bottom line is....once you've seen the trailer/some of the demovid's,then you will know that they (the directors) made the perfect choices in who they chose to play the parts....they all play their parts to the maximum and do it well.
