I won't watch this film. Making cinematic art out of poverty is dangerous. Same storyline that dominates Indian cinema. Just because someone is poor doesn't mean they are good and innocent. Just because they find their long lost love doesn't mean they will stay true and kind to them in marriage. Films like Achamillai Achamillai and those from Kerala are more in tune with reality. They show how those who were once poor become corrupt or use their poverty status to manipulate others. I also don't like how models and actors become rich celebrities from playing the roles of poor people. I don't like how politicans use films about the poor person who triumphs in love and money to get themselves elected. I don't like how if something deals with poverty there is some coolness factor.
You sound like a generally unhappy individual. What do you like? Poverty is not the sole focus of the movie. This is a story, a love story, a story of hope which happens to be set in India, the real India. This is the undeniable reality faced by millions of its citizens. The producers make no attempt to moralise/demoralise the characters or their actions. You as the viewer are entitled to do so, but at your own peril. You will find little sympathy from other viewers. I really enjoyed this film!!!!
