YOUNG@HEART Has a New Web Site!

Do YOU know someone who's "young at heart?" A friend, relative or neighbor who doesn't let their age slow them down? Then visit the YOUNG@HEART Web site where you can upload photos, post videos and write stories in tribute to them!

Meet the YOUNG@HEART chorus members through the site -- and learn about these septugenarians' and octogenarians' lives...

• Miriam plays both the violin and mandolin. Her resume includes: published poet (you can read some of her work on the site), freelance journalist, photographer and agriculturalist.

• Dora has had FIFTEEN children - 8 sons and 7 daughters. She also has 12 siblings -- and 23 grandchildren.

• Steve asserts that he doesn't shower in his bathing suit. (See the movie and you'll understand why he points this out.) His favorite musical artists include Louis Armstrong and R.E.M.

• Jeanne began her singing and acting career at the age of four. She sang with a swing band in the 1940's, acted off Broadway in the 50's and was a teacher at a community college.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Discover the Mural Behind UNDER THE SAME MOON

Below are segments from a mural Fox Searchlight commissioned to have spray-painted in East LA. In the mural artist Asylum illustrates the story of little Carlitos' epic journey from Mexico to Los Angeles to find his "mum," as told in Patricia Riggen's UNDER THE SAME MOON.
