Congratulations to Our Independent Spirit Award Winners!

Fox Searchlight's JUNO, THE SAVAGES and ONCE won a total of six Independent Spirit Awards, the ceremony for which took place this past Saturday, February 23rd. Visit the Spirit Awards' Web site.

As The LA Times said in an article this past weekend:

"The quirky coming-of-age comedy 'Juno' cleaned up at the Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday afternoon as it continues its Cinderella season going into Sunday night's Academy Awards.

"And Ellen Page and stripper-turned-screenwriter Diablo Cody are officially the belles of the ball."

I really enjoyed "Juno." Page's acting was a very convincing-annoying-teenager. My favorite part was her crying in the car - no music, no zooming in, just her crying. It was raw and true. I felt her pain and found myself crying, too. Wow. A great film.

If I were doing the Oscar campaign for this great movie, the slogan would read "Why not vote for a movie that you truly loved, instead of one you merely admired. Little Miss Sunshine - the Best Picture of 2006"i saw the movie wholesale lingerie 5 times in the theater. this is my favorite movie of this year and i have seen every other critically acclaimed movies. i woke up at 5:30 just to see the nominations and freaked out so lingerie much when they announced little miss sunshine for best picture that my screaming and clapping woke up my mom and my brother. great great great film
