On Saturday October 6th an open casting call was held at New York's City Stages for the role of Biggie Smalls -- EW.com was there to interview some of the hopeful actors.
In fact, they cut a video of their conversations with these aspiring thespians. 
EW.com also listed out the top five qualities they consider necessary in the actor to play the role. Titled "Take 5: EW.com's List of the Day" those 5 "musts" for the role are:
- The look
- The gut
- The chops
- The presence
- The skills
A lot of the guys talk about what Biggie meant to them when they were growing up -- which makes sense, considering they were all adolescents or kids at the time he died.

The guys are all charming, confident... question is, who will win the role? I personally like the guy at the end who explains what "dot com" is in ebonics -- something this writer will admit he didn't know. ( also like the guy who proudly shows off his gut! :)
The SECOND part of this post concerns audition videos, which some actors submitted online, and which EW.com is also featuring exclusively on their "PopWatch" blog under the header, "So You Think You Can Play Biggie Smalls?"
There are three auditions provided. Out of the three, who do YOU think is the best?
It should be a very nice and entertaining video to watch on. I have watched some part of the video and have liked it. But I can't watch the complete video at the moment because I have to prepare myself for my following exams: 70-620, 70-649 and 646-204. Once I finished taking my exam I would surely watch this video completely. Thanks for sharing this nice video.
