I particularly love the opening videos! The official new film page for Wes Anderson's THE DARJEELING LIMITED -- which opens next week, on September 29th -- launched last night -- and it's bright, vibrant and does a fantastic job of reflecting the energy and color of the actual film. Click here to pay a visit. (The image to the right is one of many you'll find on th film page.)

Once there, click on "Open Window" to the left of the screen and you'll see a Flash display offering a bevy of different options for how to learn more abut the film:

  • "Cabin 40/41: About the Film"
  • "Cabin 42/43: Cast & Crew"
  • "Cabin 44/45: Downloads"
  • "Cabin 46/47: Video/Trailer"
  • "Cabin 48/49: Gallery"

And soon -- and perhaps coolest of all -- an "Explore THE DARJEELING LIMITED" section will be added to that menu, where among other things you'll be able to ride an interactive train. :) This last section will launch during the week of the movie's release, which is next week!

Plus there'll soon be even more videos galore - both behind-the-scenes testimonials and interviews with cast & crew. So keep coming back to see what's new on THE DARJEELING LIMITED online, and watch it in select theaters starting Saturday, September 29th.

I'm also in Chicago and am MEGA bummed that I can't see Darjeeling without hopping a plane...

WHEN WILL THIS MOVIE REALLY BE RELEASED?

I know the "date" is listed as Septemeber 29th, but apparently that doesn't include Chicago, or from what i can gather anywhere else in the United States other than NYC.

THis is just ridiculous, how Fox Searchlight can forgo releasing a movie in Chicago, the thrid largest metropolitan area in the united States. The website is unnavigatable and information abotu where the movie is actually going to be released on the 29th (in terms of cities) is apparently a secret that no one should know about.
