Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova of ONCE fame made it to to Letterman! The talented duo appeared on "Late Show With David Letterman" on Monday night -- certainly one of the high points of ONCE's months-long run in U.S. theaters, and the pair's ongoing publicity tour for both the film and the music.

i can't say i am in total agreement with most of the other posters about letterman. the song and duo are a revelation, that much is obvious. a lightning strike of brilliance and we got to witness it. however, if one watches closely, in my opinion, dave is actully kind of choked up when he comes over to them.

Went to this movie at a cinema 10 show with my wife! LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got it for her for christmas with cd! playin' it right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wish i could hire band from movie to play!!!!!!!!! LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! al-s

I rented the movie but didn't know much about it other than the credits indicated a magical weekend by two strangers. I found myself being mesmerized by it and fell in love with all the beautiful music.

Just watched the movie and wanted to see what else I could find on this talented duo, and here I am. Listening again to the lovely soulful sound and hope it wins big time. Mr.Letteman isn't known for his sensitivity folks. He's just a showcase for real talent.

I love this movie, and looove the music.

Oscar, Oscar, Oscar!!!
My heart soars and aches and rejoices and dares to hope and falls in love when I hear this.
Amazing...

Letterman frequently balances his humour with great music. This is another example of him showcasing something new.

I am thankful to hear this beautiful song again and I loved the movie. They were magical together.

this moment, just once. this is just a precious song.^^ -from Asia-

I don't think Letterman has the sensitivity to appreciate this beautiful movie and its music

On the first day of filming, I thought it was going to be a disaster. They were nervous, the camera was right up their noses, they were self-conscious. It was ropey. But I'm good at knowing when to make a U-turn, and I realised it wasn't going to work with the camera in their face. sexy lingerie bedroom furniture I needed to be on the other side of the street and to use long lenses. There would be no clapperboards and no shouts of 'action'. It was about making them comfortable about being on screen

I hadn't watched Letterman in years (I'm 44, and kind of over it) but stayed up just to catch this. Glen and Marketa were brilliant as always.

Too bad Letterman wasted 59 of the other minutes on stupidity (it's hard to remember when his "humor" actually was funny) and the bland interview with a nervous Jodi Foster (who I think is terrific but in this case I just wanted her to get off the stage so Glen & Marketa could show the world their magic). Letterman obviously didn't do any homework. Had he seen "Once" I'm sure he would have found time to actually TALK to these amazing artists. They deserved better.
