I just learned of the movie now - never saw one preview or advert.

twisted!

please release the film score!!!!!

I can't believe I had to hear about this movie from a cable TV show... I did not see anything anywhere except for the DVD review on Attack of the show. Fire whoever did the budget and marketing and whoever decided this shouldn't play everywhere.

What a fantastic movie. Just saw it on DVD. I too am at a loss. I remember the advertising for it around Boston back in 2007 and was really excited to see it, but the 20 or so closest screens to me in Southern New Hampshire never got the movie. It was never available to see? It blows me away that such an excellent film can't find a movie house and rediculous junk gets made all the time and is plastered across 1000 theaters. It's a shame. I'd love to know the real story and who dropped the ball. Forget to book some theaters?

If your a Sci-Fi film buff...this is a must have. Excellent!!!

You would think they would have a link to a site were you could buy the DVD.

These people need marketing 101!

I saw it the last showtime of the last day it showed in Orlando. I didn't even realize it was out yet when I saw it. It didn't have any time to spread by word of mouth which is the best way to get people to see a film. This was the most amazing film I have ever seen and I was so sorry that it didn't get a longer run in theaters because in my opinion, that's the ONLY way to see it. The shots were just so amazing, and how the sun appeared... wow. This film just never had a chance.

Curious about something. How does a studio expect to make any money off a movie if no one is able to see it?

For a movie that got pretty good reviews, why is it that virtually no one in the U.S. even had an opportunity to see it?

The only place it ever played was in a few major cities for only a couple of weeks. I would have had to drive several hundred miles if I ever wanted to see it.

I only saw a commercial advertising it one single time.

Fox Searchlight's marketing department is pathetic. Actually pathetic is being nice. Incompetent and pathetic. And you wonder why the box office was a disappointment? People need to hear about a movie and have an opportunity to see it before it can make money. Seems pretty simple.

Fox Searchlight needs to hire some competent marketing people if they want to stay in business.

I agree! I had not heard of it until they announced the DVD would be coming out.

I totally agree as well. I had never heard of the film until I saw the DVD commercial a few days ago. I went and picked it up and watched it last night, and the film was absolutely gorgeous. I am really really sad I didn't get to see this in theaters. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I was eagerly await the release of this film, and as of November 19th, is has still not shown here in Reno, Nevada. With the DVD not coming out until January 2008, is there going to be a wide release of the film from Thanksgiving to Christmas?

This film was released in July'07 to delicious hype for misplaced film buffs by national media. Grand Rapids,MI has not heard a word or had a screening as of Nov.5. After several inquiries-not a word!
Does this film really exist?

Does anybody know when it will come to South Africa?

A trailer was shown on T.V yesterday (19th Sept)

currently there is no date showing in future releases.

Please release in more cities. It hasn't played in Montgomery, AL. I am even willing to drive to Atlanta, GA to see it.

I missed it in New Orleans. It must have played all of 1 week. I WANT TO SEE IT!!! When is video release date?

Too bad most of the people that really want to see it can't because it's not playing nearby. Please expand it.

Date: August 5, 2007

I saw it the day after it came out & it was one of the few movies that I've seen that really made me think after it was over. I just felt this new appreciation for life & it was just amazing.
