In light of Searchlight's upcoming film WAITRESS (which hits theaters May 2nd), listen in to NPR's "This American Life" as they interview employees and customers in a small diner (like WAITRESS) in Chicago called "The Golden Apple."
As described on NPR's site:
"...Starting at 5 A.M. and going until 5 A.M. the next morning. We hear from the waitress who has worked the graveyard shift for over two decades, the regular customers who come every day, the couples working out their problems, various assorted drunks, and, of course, cops"
When I first heard this I'll admit that I was riveted... it just goes to show what fascinating things even the most ordinary people have to say. Again, you can head to NPR to hear it.
