I want to personally THANK the screenwriter as well as the directors and the actors for NOT CUTTING ANY OF THE LANGUAGE. I don't think this movie would have been as heartfelt if, for example, Paul Dano's Dwayne didn't express himself the way he did (in every scene!). I can't get enough of this film; every time I see it, I get something else (good) out of it. Paul Dano's "Do what you love, and f--- the rest" monologue is now my mantra.
By the way... this was the very first movie I ordered from Netflix, and it took me nearly a month to get my own copy, so I held theirs for ransom until I was able to get my hands on one of my own. I watch this movie for fun, for therapy, to remind me of my own family, to get insights, as film school, as a primer for the ensemble movie... you name it, this may now become my favorite film of all time. But it wouldn't be if they had cut ANY of the language!! So thanks!
