In response. I still blame hollywood for using the underclass to make millions for their own gains. Whether the children were offered fair compensation or the parents tried to sell the young girl is irrelative, the fact remains that the director and hollywood could be the true heros by making a difference in the lives of those who made them money. I have been to the Phillipines and India and seen these slums. For a few thousands dollars a whole neighborhood could be built. Allowing these people to live where they are use to, but giving them a more permanent home and cleaning up these slum areas. Where a strip of homes (2 rooms living and sleeping), a communal water well and sewer system and recreation area could save the lives of 100s of slum dwellers. No this is not what we as Americans call home, but when you have nothing and your home is made out of palms, old tires, sheet metal and whatever else you scavenged to put up; a 2 room commune is a permentant home that they can call their own. Those that live in these homes are responsible for keeping up the area, working in the communal garden and working together to support each other. Hollywood brought these slums to the publics attention, know let's tell them it's time for Hollywwod to give back to those they have used. I really wanted to see this movie, but I won't and I won't go to any movies to support Hollywood and it's self center actors greed.
