I think there is no doubt about similarity in lives of slumdog millionnaire and Indians as a whole. Poverty is in root of this shameful state of lives of Indians. Last year, Shilpa Shetty was referred as dog while acting in a British live show, but this denial was in fact an escapism. Even today when many Indians have an opinion that this movie presents derogatory impression about Indians. But I think it is time for them to accept the reality.
