I would just like to comment from a perspective of someone who hasn't yet seen the movie. I read the book and at 29 years old and an English teacher, it is now my new favorite. Wow. Knowing very little about the movie, however, I am perplexed at who the actresses are playing. I pictured them all so much older, especially Rosaleen and August, so I am really wondering who Queen Latifa plays, and what about Alicia Keys? I'm completely dumbfounded, but can't wait to see how it all plays out. I'm going to see it tonight!
