Well, I think that no one is ever selling a baby, but, what agencies and prospective parents can do is offer a two year scholarship to a college or trade school. They can also send Juno to Disneyland with friends for a week, after her ordeal is over. She is being overly self sacrificing and everyone is OK with it. Who is in her corner? I don't think her family is rich. If an agency or a lawyer were involved on her behalf...it would have been a more balanced negotiation.
She also votes for a closed adoption. I can understand her feelings at the time. But what if 5 years from now, the adoptive Mother is dying of cancer and a change of custody must be lingerie determined? Five years from now, Juno might be wealthy, married, have a child or two of her own. Shouldn't she be informed at this point of a serious situation involving her child
