Tonight I saw an TV interview that Wes Anderson did with Charlie Rose in which he said very clearly that "Hotel Chevalier" is available as a free download on iTunes. Whether or not this was a rerun, which it may have been, as an iTunes subscriber and an avid moviegoer, I am shocked that this download is not available. I would have paid for it but even that is not possible. If you check the blogs, a lot of people are highly indignant at being cut off from the announced free access one day after the supposed date of availability of the download in late September. That's pretty poor.
