Romance can be risky, perplexing and filled with the perils of miscommunication - and that's if you aren't ADAM, for whom life itself is this way.  In this heartfelt romantic comedy, Hugh Dancy (THE JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB, CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC) stars as Adam, a handsome but intriguing young man who has all his life led a sheltered existence - until he meets his new neighbor, Beth (Rose Byrne, "Damages," 28 WEEKS LATER, KNOWING), a beautiful, cosmopolitan young woman who pulls him into the outside world, with funny, touching and entirely unexpected results.  Their implausible and enigmatic relationship reveals just how far two people from different realities can stretch in search of an extraordinary connection.

I'm french and you're so lucky because you have Adam before us. It seems really good. And Hugh Dancy looks like great. Adam will be the 6th January 2010 in theaters in France.

I just got back from a special screening of "Adam" in Charlotte, NC. It was a very sweet (sometimes bittersweet, sometimes very funny) story. The writers and actors really got it with the depiction of Asperger's Syndrome. Hugh Dancy is great, Rose Byrne is charming. I recommend it.

I would also like to see this movie to be shown at my local theatre. I would like to organize a screening with my local Autism societies as well.

So, what is the best way to get a theatre to show this film?

What is the best way to go about getting a theatre to show this film? I went to a showing in DC at the beginning of July and I'd like a local theatre to show it at some point. Is there a certain way to go about it?

I know several other people in different areas also interested in getting this film shown even if only for a limited run in THEIR towns, too. We'd probably also be getting the local Autism support groups to push for it.

Aka, I enjoyed it and want more people to see it. Only quibble was that it seemed like they were trying to fit too many traits into one individual- which is very unlikely, and made the character seem like a composite. It is still an improvement, though!

AS an ASpie, I am thrilled to find out a movie is coming out about Aspie. I am 51, and finally diagnosed that my name is Aspie in 2006. I am so happy, that greater awareness, is finally brought, about Aspie, in a major motion picture! Of the previews I have seen, Adam is so much like me! AS an ASpie, I am hyperlexic, and love constantly playing with words. My definition of Aspie, has my name in it! A Lerner is in ALtERNativE Reasoning, which defines myself and Aspies. I also created this definition, of how, it is not like YOU think: Aspie operating system = A.LtERNativE Reasoning. I am &rew Lerner, who is putting the A into Lerner, and love into Florida.

I signed up to see a screening of Adam only to be disappointed that they issued tickets for it to be played in two theatres and then only had it playing in one when we got there :( The FoxSearchlight representative was no where close to professional, dressed in a old grubby pair of jeans and a T-Shirt, to boot.I realize this was a FREE screening, but more than double booking a screening is rediculous. Really makes it hard to incourage people to go see it.

which theatre?

In NY and LA on July 29th and opening wide by Labor Day!

Is Adam going to be playing anywhere in Orange County California. Maybe Regal Cinimas at UCI Irvine or ?

Thanks...really hope so.

When are they going to release this?
