ACADEMY AWARD WINNER BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY WINNER OF 2 GOLDEN GLOBES, INCLUDING BEST PICTURE (COMEDY / MUSICAL) In this intoxicating, intelligent comedy, director Alexander Payne (Election, About Schmidt) serves up "one of the best movies of the year"

A wine-tasting road trip through California's famed Central Coast takes an unexpected detour as Miles (Paul Giamatti) and Jack (Thomas Haden Church) hit the gas en route to their mid-life crisis. The comically mismatched pair soon find themselves drowning in wine, women... and laughter!

Great Movie!!! I live in California, my buddies and I go tasting often. We have gone to Paso and are going to Santa Barbara this weekend to taste up around the San Ynez valley. When i fist saw this film, I didn't even like wine, but I loved the plot of this film! Eventually when I got into wine I could appriciate the film further. Finding that "Mya's" explination on why she got invovled in wine to be very inspirational. Beautiful land in Cali if you like wine and haven't driven up the grape vine to Paso Robles, or 126 to Santa Barbara and the endless valley's and vineyards I strongly recomend it!!!

Does anyone know the name or artist of the song that plays during the trailer for Fox Searchlight Pictures at the beginning of the DVD?

Thanks,
Blake

Sideways, is one of my all time favorite movies!

This movie has got to be the best movie ever. I guess that it was the right movie at the right time for me. I am a wine lover who has only made one trip to California in my life. But the scenery, the music, and the characters in this move just blew me away. I have watched it many times. As a result of this movie, I am now a member of the Andrew Murray wine club, and on the waiting list for the Seasmoke wine club (I was acutally able to find a bottle of Seasmoke Botella in a small wine bar in downtown Melbourne, FL). Anyway, congratulations to Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor for writing/directing the most "true to life" movie ever made.
