From Nia Vardalos, writer and star of MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING, comes the hilarious comedy MY LIFE IN RUINS. Georgia (Nia Vardalos) has lost her kefi (Greek for “mojo”). Discouraged by her lack of direction in life, she works as a travel guide, leading a rag-tag group of tourists as she tries to show them the beauty of her native Greece. While opening their eyes to an exotic foreign land, she too begins to see things in new ways—finding her kefi in the process.

I enjoyed the very funny movie, the cast was good.
I would love to go to Greese but I doubt I will make it, so thanks for a good view.
Thanks,

I am an American of Greek descent. Both my parents were immigrants from Greece and I have been to Greece many, many times. I was very disappointed with the way American tourists were portrayed in the movie. I don't think that we as Americans are loud, stupid, obnoxious, moody and full of ourselves like we are shown in the movie. What audience were you looking to capture? The only audience that would find this funny would be foreigners. This is why Americans are looked at the way they are in the world. We are our own worst enemy. I've been on a bus in Greece with all natives where the bus driver started screaming at the riders telling them that they weren't listening to him and that whatever he said went in one ear and out the other. Can you imagine this ever happening here. This is a daily occurrence in Greece and no one even notices. The movie definitely lost me in the beginning with the negativity. The scenery other than the Parthenon, Acropolis and Sounion were nice but Greece is a beautiful country and I did not get that impression from watching the movie. Richard Dreyfus on the other hand made the movie. His portrayal of Irv was so touching. We as Americans have to be very careful and not for a laugh(if that is what you would call it) jeopardize our integrity!!!!!

Saw the movie opening night and loved it. If you liked My Big Fat Greek Wedding, you'll like this movie. The characters are amusing, endearing and sometimes annoying. But that's what makes a good movie. It's not quite as charming as My Big Fat.. but we all only have one lifetime family to get as much material.I've travelled all over the world including Greece(which I loved)and have rarely gone on a tour(only in places where you don't have an option)but I want to travel with this group. Sign me up.

Very good movie not to graphic but a very good story line and makes you think about why people are the way they turned out funny or sarcastic or sad. Funny and romantic and the beauty of Greece was wonderful since I will probably never get there.

Thanks for a great time.
