Cast: Young @ Heart Chorus, Bob Cilman

Prepare to be entertained by the inspiring individuals of YOUNG@HEART, a New England senior citizens chorus that has delighted audiences worldwide with their covers of songs by everyone from The Clash to Coldplay. As Stephen Walker's documentary begins, the retirees, led by their strict musical director, are rehearsing their new show, struggling with a discordant Sonic Youth number and giving new meaning to James Brown's "I Feel Good." What ultimately emerges is a funny and unexpectedly moving testament to friendship, creative inspiration, and reaching beyond expectations.

I walked into young @ heart having no idea what it was about. I thought it was just a movie when I realised it was a doco I almost walked out but after 5 minutes in the movie those beautiful people had captured me. I enjoyed every minute of it bawling my eyes out in parts of it. We just got it in New Zealand and I was inspired by it. We need to encourage more old people to live their lives right to the end as these people do.

Can't wait to buy the DVD!
Will buy a vew copies.
Great movie.

My wife and I saw the film at the Old Polk Theater in Lakeland, Fl. We enjoyed every minute of it. We both want very much to be in a group such as this one, but we'll have to wait a few years, we are only in our fifties. The film was very entertaining, I laughed, cried and felt a connection with the members of the chorus. I would like a copy of the film so I can watch it again and agin and to pass on to my children.

Why wait? Start one yourselves! Life is to be lived every day. Singing is for the young and the 'older' - not the 'old'!!! - Pam - Sydney Australia

I have just seen "Young@Heart" this afternoon.
It was a real "toe tapper" and sometimes sad.
But, now I want to sing in a group like that!!
I am 71 and will start looking for a local group.

I think this is the best documentary. Everyone has to see it! Perfect!cialis

I just saw the movie. While I was watching, I laughed and cried. It moved my heart by seeing their passionate love of what they were doing. Those in the chorus proved to be a winner of life who exemplified to pursue their heart without limiting their handicaps in age. It gave me a beautiful and heart moving experience.

Engaging in Music and Arts truly make to overcome the age and to turn to become young at heart.

JUST LOVED THE TRAILER AND WHAT I'VE BEEN READING ABOUT THIS GROUP!!! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE MOVIE IF IT EVER COMES TO COLORADO. I HAVE WORKED EXCLUSIVELY WITH SENIORS FOR OVER 20 YEARS........AND I AM 68 MYSELF & STILL WORKING. I WAS IN THE THEATER IN THE 50'S DOING SUMMER STOCK & CAN REALLY RELATE TO THIS GROUP AND THE DIFFERENCE THEY CAN MAKE IN OUR COUNTRY WHERE THERE IS SUCH A DISCONNECT BETWEEN YOUNG AND OLD. YES, WE ARE STILL REALLY HUMAN AND YOUNGER @ HEART THAN MOST OF OUR YOUNG COUNTERPARTS REALIZE! BRAVISIMOS AND PRAISES FOR THIS GROUP AND EVERYONE INVOLVED! XOXOXO

I too just previewed Young@Heart at the Sunday Key Club. Yes, the security was unbelievable...this happens in American for a movie! Something is wrong with you Fox Searchlight. Shame on you.

The film was beyond terrific. I am in awe of Bob Cilman for what he has done as Executive Director of Northampton Arts Council as well as the Director, Stephen Walker. The producer and editor deserve enormous occolades as well. This is the most touching film I think I have ever seen. All of you obviously have a very deep soul. The sensitivity of what all of you have produced is extraordinary. I would love to meet each and every one of you. The world needs more of you.

I just came home from previewing Young @ Heart with the Sunday Key Club. The security required to preview this film was ridiculous! Each individual was wanded to get access to the theater after being asked about having a cell phone. I am personally offended that Fox Searchlight feels the need to veil its movies in secrecy and deliver them under "Lock and Key." Since we discuss the movies after the viewing it put our host and moderator at a disadvantage too. I have never heard of this before and understand that Fox is the only company who makes such a big deal of this. You single handedly predisposed me to hate this movie !! I wish you had personally been there to hear the boos as the opening FoxSearchlight Logo was shown. My understanding is that this film has been seen on television in England and was shown and won awards at a Film Festival in the US last year. You wasted all the good will you get from groups like our Key Club!

That being said, the movie was terrific! This documentary made me laugh and cry and did the same thing to the men on either side of me in the audience too. My husband is ready to move to North Hampton, MA... and I just wish there was a branch of Young @ Heart in Bar Harbor Maine where my 90 year old mother lives! I was inspired and thrilled to see all the aspects of this chorus!

I have seen the trailer a few times already and I am really looking forward to seeing the movie.

I've seen the Young at Heart Chorus in person many times. They are truly inspiring. It's lovely to know this film has been made about them..

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!

They are the MOST inspiring group . . . Funny, poignant and REALLY GOOD!

I loved the short documentary . . . .

How can we find out about previews?

I'm almost 60, and I would LOVE to see the preview in Raleigh, NC.

this is the best documentary everyone has to see it!

LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOUR FILM. I WON AN OSCAR IN 1987 FOR MY "YOUNG AT HEART" --BEST SHORT DOCUMENTARY. IT WOULD BE FUN TO SEE THEM ON THE SAME PROGRAM.
