Fox Searchlight Is Calling All Artists!
Are you artistic?
Then here's your chance to expand that portfolio of yours -- or to start one. Draw or paint a movie-inspired cartoon and send it our way, and we may feature your work!
As Lance Ehlers has drawn a bevy of cartoons for us over the past year+ (see below, or his full collection here) we want to encourage you to try your own hand at creating a movie-inspired cartoon. (Or two, or three, or four...)
The only rules are that it MUST be
movie-related, and it MUST be your own work. It can be a drawing or a painting -- it could even be a sculpture if you prefer (as long as it's easy to discern from the photo). Simply put, the artistic medium is up to you, as are the style and subject.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO INCLUDE TEXT if you'd prefer not to. Again, it's totally up to you. Whether it's your own sketched representation of Ellen Page as Juno, a witty cartoon commentary on Jon and Wendy Savages' stormy sibling
relationship in THE SAVAGES -- or an illustrative commentary on movies or movie-making in general (as Lance has done) we just encourage you to GO FOR IT.
Just be creative. Be original. And have fun!
AGAIN, we'll post the most interesting work right here, so be on the lookout!
Email your work to:
