Zoe Heller penned the widely admired 2003 book NOTES ON A SCANDAL that the new Searchlight movie (due in theaters December 27th) is based on. Click here for a great article about Zoe from the Guardian, in which she's interviewed by a former classmate.

Meanwhile the New York premiere for the film took place a couple of nights ago (Tuesday) -- keep an eye out on Wire Image for when the pictures are posted! ('Til then, premiere images at right were featured in the Evening Standard; a "who's who" is listed at bottom.)

And while we're at it, check out this Evening Standard review of NOTES -- I think the British would refer to this review as "smashing," no? The title:"Dame Judi Is Riveting as a Lonely Old Maid."

And finally, we discovered a blog for NOTES' very own Bill Nighy! Check it out here.

happy 18th birthday for yesterday andrew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the party rocked, didn't it!!!!!

I'm very surprised to see a link to a pure fan site here. Bill Nighy does have a cool official site with www.billnighy.net, so you surely only covered the fan site billnighy.ifno by mistake.
Best, Sean.
