My family loved this movie, touching and funny.
My very young grand daughter won't stop singing..
Baby don't you cry, gonna make a pie, gonna make a pie with a heart in the middle. She is 3

Nichelle

The movie touched me as it could have been written from my life the first 3 years anyway. The way Jenna toughed it out and continued to still be herself was inspiring. It took me seeing her life to see how unjust it was and not her fault. It helped me make peace with my past.Thanks.I could have given you scenes that would have made Early seem mild .Everyone needs a best pie friend and a Joe in their life for a fresh start. Being a career waitress myself over 18 yrs and student with 3 kids as a single mom is tough.I only wish I had the scene in the hospital and just one little girl like LULU to tell him to take a hike like Jenna did and it helped me realize I wasn't at fault. The things he made her say and do I thought only i went through that! noone was as crazy or controlling as that. Thanks so much for putting your all into it.The friends at work would have been great to have. I had a JOe but he passed. I had those similiar times with employers breaking the news of being pregnant and worried I'd be fired with no help from the husband atleast Early worked. Breaking free like she did was not easy he did not go off quietly without a restraining order. The biggest "AH-HA" moment was when Earl hit Jenna for trying to leave. WOW!!! I had that familiar whole body jerk reflex protect yourself reaction.Thank you for your inspiring performance it gave me peace of mind to know the story came from somewhere.. I had been told I resembled you when I was younger but you are very pretty and talented. I hope the movie was as therapuetic for others... Enjoy the success of the movie.
Did Joe come out of the coma??? What made the name LULU stand out?

A beautiful film, and what a treat to see the wonderful Andy Griffith gracing the screen after so many years.

The buzz made me expect a lot from this movie, but I was sorely disappointed. It was lame and cute, poorly written, with characters incomprehensively motived, doing things that were supposed to be endearing but were in actuality strange and appalling. I love pie, but this movie made me want to swear off forever.

Anyone who does not get to see this movie is completely missing out. I truly feel sorry for anyone who has not/will not experience the joy of watching this film. And, unfortunately, we will ALL miss out on any future work by the amazing Adrienne Shelly.

P.S. Please give us a soundtrack and some sort of book...PLEASE...... :)

For those interested in the music form the WAITRESS, I've been told to check out www.quincycoleman.com - she has two songs in the film and a new record out.

No official soundtrack for WAITRESS unfortunately.

I love that Loren asks Keri what a Keri Russell Pie would have as its ingredients. I doubt she gets asked that question very often.

Does anyone know where we can get the track listings for the music in the movie? and hear Andrew Hollander's compositions?

what is the soundtrack like? I hear good things about songs from group called the Four Charms? . . .

Did not know anything about this film before I walked in. Did not expect much at all. What I walked away with is a lifelong memory. I enjoyed the messages given throughout the story. I enjoyed the characters. I was touched. Time to start fresh.

A good tale well told. What more do you need?

I agree, I thought this movie was sooooo touching. Keri Russell has got to be the most adorable woman in the world!

Loved the story of Jenna and her pie-making view of life....authentic, real characters. Keri Rusell was exquisitely believable. AND how can you best Andy Griffin as as the grumpy yet wise diner owner?
Also loved music. Edgy country soul?
Hope to see this one again soon in my neighborhood.
I laughed, cried, and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
