I saw this film today. Brilliant.

Very disturbing. No doubt people have awful things happen to them as they do in this movie, things they bring on themselves. And most adult offspring of senile parents have difficulty coping. This movie is an admirable depiction of both, along with an unflinching portrait of female neurosis and self-delusion. It's not a pretty sight, but at times it is indeed funny. And the performances by Hoffman, Linney, and Bosco are absolutely first rate.

Wonderful movie. So rare to have true laughs & unexpected delicate touches & clean, restrained treatment of situations that are usually exploited & tears & change that's not hokey but real life movement. A tribute to all involved.

Can somebody please tell me the name of the group who sings the song that is playing suring The Savages trailer?. It sounds so good and I can't figure it out, it sounds liek Elliot Smith?

A fantastic movie with a great cast and a superb director.Gives us all something to think about.Anyone who has either had a parent or a relative with alzymer's or dimentia will be able to relate to this movie. There should be some Oscar's from this movie.

I was the 2nd AD, second unit on this film whiled filmed in Sun City Arizona, and Tamara Jenkins was beyond kind, and patient with everyone. I hope the picture does great on the big screen. Killer cast, super director, very well written.

Looks like the film will be good and fresh.
