The critics got it right this week in proclaiming No Country for Old Men, the Best Film of the Year. Most of the opinions that critics announce through out the world, I tend to turn a cheek to. It's when they take a change, say what they truly feel about a film and not care about who they work for or who is buttering their bread. I'm sorry, but the worst film of the year has been #1 for 3 weeks straight. It's as if the Conservative Republicans all got together and conspired to make national Treasure 2 #1. But what really hurts is to see reviews praising this so called film. Cage is a brilliant actor. Can we finally get this man a script in his hand, that doesn't have flaming skulls or imitation Indiana jones characters in them. The only hope we have this week is Juno. Our savior. Juno is one the best films made in 2007. Thats an accomplishment, considering the powerful year that film had in 07. Hats off to Jason Reitman and the cast and crew of Juno. Don't get me wrong. Critics love this film. If it wasn't for the critics, this film would be a future cult classic with a solid fan best. Instead, Juno has Oscar best all over it. So if you haven't seen Juno, go and see it this week. You'll love it from beginning to end.
